As a member of Santander’s retail banking division you’ll help serve Santander’s retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits. With principal presence in the northeast U.S., Santander’s retail division offers consumer and lending products to help our customers reach their financial goals. Santander currently serves nearly 2 million retail customers and 5.2% of the 2.7 million small businesses in the US footprint have a transactional account with Santander Bank.
Responsible for day to day posting of financial transactions pertaining to Commercial Loan Participation/Syndication loans. Responsible for daily monitoring of group mailbox for time sensitive requests. Meet and exceed set department and individual goals and provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Provide high quality and quantity of work in processing loan transactions. Communicate effectively with team members across the bank.
Responsibilities
• Process transactions on participation/syndication loans including advances, payments, wires and conversions, as well as assist with SBA Servicing.
• Assist in daily functions to ensure team is successful in meeting set goals (group mailbox, clearing general ledgers, researching discrepancies, etc).
• Act as liaison between lead banks and Santander to assist with questions and transactions as they relate to participation/syndication loans.
Qualifications
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years experience in lending or loan servicing – commercial preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook required. AFS experience helpful.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of commercial loan documentation – reading and understanding.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Analytical skills, strong customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
