Job Description
Job Summary:
Analyzes, develops, modifies, installs, tests, and maintains, and manages infrastructure components, systems servers, and associated services.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with users to gather business requirements, performs data analysis, code and test middleware routines to ensure successful and seamless communication among the various IT systems and application components.
• Evaluate vendor supplied software packages and make recommendations to IT management. Make recommendations regarding optimization of software and hardware integration on the existing network infrastructure.
• Participates in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations
• Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and perform problem resolution.
• Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications.
• Performs root cause analysis and provides data to development area so that it can be corrected.
• Updates the ticket tracking system with proven solutions for issues escalated; recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
• Monitors system capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide Tier 3 technical support.
• Prioritizes requests and problems; analyzes and resolves crisis' quickly and efficiently
• Develops extensive knowledge of Synovus technical/product applications. Obtain Up-to-date knowledge base and understanding of system programming, graphical user interface, and control languages.
• Performs troubleshooting for complex hardware, software and network problems.
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
• Performs other related duties as required.
