Global Investment Control directly supports Capital Group's investment professionals, implements investment decisions and facilitates the investment process. Operating from locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, core functions include order management, portfolio construction and compliance, trade support, corporate action communication and coordination, and proxy services, among others. These services support the management of equity and fixed income portfolios for retail, institutional and private clients.
As an Associate based in our West Los Angeles office, you will be part of the Fixed Income Portfolio Analysis Group and primarily focus on fixed income portfolio construction, analysis, and operational tasks as needed. You will partner closely with investment professionals, traders, legal as well as the rest of the Global Investment Control teams.
Responsibilities:
• Assist investment professionals with analysis needed to construct fixed income portfolios and construct portfolios based on the convictions of investment professionals and compliance guidelines
• Actively monitor portfolio risk metrics by generating reports and analyzing model scenarios to support the investment professionals’ decision making
• Perform pre-trade portfolio analysis for investment professionals to review, monitor cash flows and assist with account transitions
• Resolve order related inquiries from Investment Group, Trading, Compliance, Accounting and other business units
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of financial services industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity of Bloomberg preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while performing highly complex and analytical work
• Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of different departments and colleagues within Capital Group and shift gears/priorities quickly based on business needs
• Ability to be resourceful and exercise sound judgment
• Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required
