Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Accounting. In this role, you'll help drive the business by providing accounting professional or management support for the general financial accounting activities for the organization in compliance with regulatory policies. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and reliable financial data and reporting.
Essential Job Functions
• Determine and execute appropriate actions, within tolerable risk, to complete daily work within the asset management and general ledger systems in compliance with Statements of Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidance.
• Produce, analyze, and deliver monthly and quarterly Accounting information for management reporting, as required
• Ensure transactional accounting accuracy/timeliness, and resolve or escalate issues, as needed
• Identify, research, collaborate, and/or solve complex transactions related to system and reconciliation processes.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues related to own work area
• Present and implement solutions for routine and non-routine situations applicable to the position
• Suggest, implement, and/or document improvements to existing processes and resolutions
• Prioritize work assignments related to own work area
• Ensure assets under management are compliant with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) instructions, within tolerable risk.
• Provide support on audits/exams by working directly with the auditors/state examiners in providing data and answers to inquiries
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
• 0-2 years of business related experience required
