Marketing Analytics Description
In USCM Marketing Analytics, we use data driven solutions to support Liberty Mutual’s growth goals and make business decisions. The Lead Optimization team focuses on targeting prospective and existing customers to increase new business policies. We use customer and quote characteristics to build models to understand different marketing segments. We work with our sales reps and third party vendors to operationalize those models and drive more business in all channels.
As part of the team, you will be instrumental in understanding how well each of our models and marketing tactics perform. You will work with different teams across the organization to make recommendations on how to enhance the current programs. As technology and customer appetite shift, you will help drive new and innovative solutions to address those new trends.
Job Responsibilities
• Execute in-depth analyses of the performance of our LM.com campaign, which follows up with customers who quoted online but didn’t bind. Are we making the right decisions on how we are routing these customers? Are we correctly segmenting customers by their preferences and shopping behavior? How do these metrics compare against our expectations and what drives those variances?
• Collaborate with data scientists to refine the current models. Do more complex models perform better than traditional generalized linear models? Are there additional variables that we can consider that will helps us better understand our prospective customers and our competitiveness in different markets? How do we measure the performance of these models?
• Work with other groups to drive value. How do we work with different channels (Field, Direct, Digital) to address their varying needs and at the same time do what’s best for the company overall?
• Make operational improvements on current processes. How can we quickly respond to shifts in online quote volume? How do we address the needs of our partners if their appetite for these customers change?
• Support the growth of the Outbound team, a team of DRC reps who make outbound calls. How many customers should we send to the reps? How many reps should we expand the team to? Is there a way to improve the efficiency of the team?
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate results and present new ideas to stakeholders
• Ability to quickly adapt to different data systems
• Experience using Excel required, knowledge with SAS, SQL, and R a plus
