Responsibilities
• This role will be responsible for the delivery of Desktop Engineering Services.
• This person will have responsibility for the delivery and support of emerging and existing technologies across the globe that supports a footprint for AIG spans 80 countries, and 62,000 desktops and laptops.
• The candidate will be knowledge and have experience in mobility, desktop and collaboration technologies, unstructured end user data, messaging, public and private cloud solutions, desktop virtualization and competent knowledge of relevant security products.
• This person will have overall responsibility for setting direction and developing and maintaining a strategic plan that harmonizes with the Infrastructure Services organization plans, and includes requirements from our CIO organizations and business partners.
• This position also has financial responsibility for the performance against budget.
• Will provide architectural input into new standards and emerging solutions.
• Optimize Collaboration services to enable employees to be productive (Exchange, SharePoint, Skype, TEAMS, Power BI, Cisco, etc. and other relevant collaboration technologies.
• Will require a strong understand and opinions of end user technology applications whether physical or virtual devices.
Job Requirements:
This role will have leadership responsibilities over a global team.
Leadership
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in a medium to large corporate organization; financial services, insurance industry and / or management consulting experience a plus.
• Experience in strategic planning, prioritization and solution design.
• Proven experience managing large scale change management and strategic initiatives across large multinational organizations, preferably in a corporate setting and in an organization with a global workforce.
• Strategic orientation, vision, purpose.
• Client centric. Provide key communications bridge between the business and technology organizations.
• Deep experience of managing and developing multi-organization technical teams.
• Ability to build enduring partnerships across multiple areas of the company and with external constituents. Global mind-set with very large company/global background.
• Innovative and results focused.
Technical
• Experience and proven record in establishing strategies, strategic plans, enterprise architecture frameworks and processes in alignment with IT vision, mission, frameworks and in line with processes, policies and procedures.
• Process and IT Transformation across lifecycle – from thought leadership to tactical delivery.
• Deep technical leader and technologist.
• Visionary and thought leader with ability to think “out of the box”.
• Financial acumen including Benefits Realization.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management and/or Communications or related experience in Operations, Business Strategy and/or Change Management.
• Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
