Director Business Intelligence and Analytics
What does a great Director Business Intelligence and Analytics do?
• This position is a leadership position within the Application Delivery division of Card Services, with direct reports including Software Engineering Managers, Solutions Architects, and other subject matter experts.
• This individual will serve in a leadership capacity to deliver new, market-critical products for Data Intelligence and API delivery.
• This position will have a direct impact on solution delivery for Card Service, in support of our clients and their customers.
• Individuals with strong engineering, leadership, and organizational development skills will be positioned to succeed in this high-impact, high-energy environment.
• There are significant opportunities to drive application delivery, process improvement, employee engagement and development, and client satisfaction.:
• Manage application portfolio team talent via recruitment, hiring, and development of high performing team members, setting clear expectations for and providing timely feedback on individual and team performance, and taking corrective action when necessary
• Partner with Product Line Owners as end-to-end owners of Application Portfolios, including technology currency, production stability, risk profile, operating expense, and delivery of functional and technical enhancements
• Assign team members to agile teams or initiatives, ensuring effective team assignments, and serving as an escalation point when required
• Create a bench of leaders that are contributing at a high level and growing, to allow the organization to scale capacity and capabilities when necessary.
• Promote associate engagement through various methods to provide an energized, challenging work environment for team members. Facilitate and encourage engagement feedback. Influence and motivate others to express opinions and share ideas
• Perform routine governance of PDLC/SDLC/corporate compliance including quality, efficiency and security standards are in place and being followed by team members
• Enforce culture of continuous improvement based on metrics for quality, efficiency, talent development and security.
• Facilitate applicable training and improvement opportunities
• Regularly communicate market, business, and technology updates to team
• Participate in security assessments, audits, and risk mitigation activities
• Collaborate effectively with other leaders, teams, and departments
• Commit to continued personal leadership development
• Effectively lead teams through change
Basic Qualifications for consideration:
• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years with Data Intelligence (data mining, analytics and metrics) and API delivery.
• 5+ years working with BI Tools (ex. Cognos, Tableau and Business Objects)
• 3+ years experience leading highly technical resources, either directly or indirectly
• 2+ years of Agile & Scrum experience
• Experience effectively communicating with clients, vendors, teams, and senior leadership.
• Up to 20% travel
Preferred Qualifications for consideration:
• Experience leading teams of 10+ associates.
• Experience leading remote and offshore development teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with agile development practices
• Application knowledge of Fiserv Card Services applications
• Background in financial services, specifically in card processing, and digital applications
