Description
As a member of the Strategy team in North America, you will be responsible for both supporting and leading strategic projects and initiatives across the region. You will work closely with executive leaders to understand their business, identify risks, highlight opportunities and make strategic recommendations. This role will report into the Vice President of Strategy for North America.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with business unit leadership to design and implement plans that improve operation effectiveness, including projects focused on organizational design, strategic planning, performance management, human capital and change management
• Lead cross functional project teams, conduct research, analyze data and translate conclusions into business recommendations
• Produce persuasive, simple and clear story lines, slides and other deliverables relevant to audiences of all levels
• Proactively gather intelligence on the competitive landscape, market trends and incorporate information into Experian’s strategic plan and business unit strategy planning cycles
• Contribute to annual strategic planning process and execution/implementation plans
• Drive the assessment, strategy development and planning associated with new business initiatives, internal investments, and acquisitions opportunities across NA region
• Analyzing data and drafting briefing reports to facilitate business decisions
• Effectively partner with regional stakeholders across Experian – strategy, corporate development, product, sales, business, technology, finance.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of required analysis and relevant evaluation material
• Developing an internal and external network of industry subject matter experts
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; internationally recognized MBA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of functional experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, corporate development or relevant experience in comparable role
• Strong expertise in applying project management processes and tools (e.g. project definition, scope definition, project staffing, role and responsibility definition, task definition and sequencing, duration estimating, communication planning, etc.)
• Strong expertise in applying proven strategic frameworks (e.g. market segmentations, SWOT, Porter’s 5 Forces) to effectively and quickly breakdown and analyze business problems and opportunities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to assume leadership positions
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Ability to travel locally and international
