[POSITION SUMMARY]
The Analytics team is responsible for overseeing risk management strategies to prevent, detect and disrupt usage of Bank products and services for the purposes of money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery, corruption and economic sanctions avoidance. The primary role of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) modeling team is the design and development of AML models used to detect possible money laundering or terrorist financing activities. AML models have to be properly designed, tested, validated and approved before they can be implemented into production. Existing models must be periodically monitored, calibrated and if necessary, modified or replaced. The AML Models Risk Manager will oversee a team of quantitative professionals by providing strategic and thought leadership to protect the bank from regulatory and reputational risk.
[POSITION DUTIES]

A2. Manage a team of Quantitative Analysts,
A3. Recruit, manage and develop the team,
A4. Provision the necessary analytics tools to enable the team,
A5. Collaborate with human resources to perform all HR related responsibilities,
B2. Develop AML models risk methodology and internal procedures that comply with OCC Models Risk Guidance and the Santander Models Risk Framework,
B3. Manage models related exams with external regulators, internal auditors and Models Risk Management,
B4. Develop and implement corrective action plans for issues identified,
B5. Develop project plans and track progress for completion,
B6. Identify industry best practices to continuously improve the program,
C2. Communicate and present models related activities to executive management and AML leadership
C3. Manage independent validation of AML models with Models Risk Management,
C4. Manage AML models workgroups that include BSA Officer, FIU Director, Program Director and model users,
C5. Partner with technology and lead projects designed to accomplish AML related support needs,C6. Develop and build strong partnerships across all Risk
Qualifications
[QUALIFICATION]
7+yrs AML exp./quantitative analytics & models dev.;
+ 3 yrs Mgmnt exp. Extensive experience in DB architecture SQL, Oracle etc.,
strong programming exp. and use of data mining tools SQL, SAS etc.,
Proficient in MS office products (excel, access, SQL)
[EXPERIENCE]
At least 7 years
[LICENSE/CERTIFICATION]
Masters degree preferred
[SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE]
Strong data mining and analytics skills,
Strong leadership skills,
Strong time management skills.,
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clear and detailed technical writing and presentations.
