Position Summary:
Kemper is adding to staff and seeking a Leadership Development Consultant to work at our Kemper office in downtown Chicago. The Leadership Development Consultant will serve as an expert by consulting, coaching, and identifying leadership training and engagement opportunities. The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop and manage the leadership development programs for executives throughout the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
• Establishing, implementing and evaluating a leadership development curriculum and related programs that align with the company’s goals and is anchored in Kemper’s Competency Modal as a foundation.
• Assesses individual and organizational leadership development and engagement needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Shape, implement and manage programs and processes that enhance our executive leadership team.
• Act as a thought leader, consultant and project manager to manage project initiatives, consult with the business, manage change and drive operational excellence.
• Assist with change management, employee value propositions and diversity and inclusion programs.
• Design, develop and manage the leadership development programs for all levels of managers and leaders throughout the organization
• Facilitate classroom and virtual training sessions
• Develop and maintain tools, resources and documentation related to the leadership programs.
• Partner across the HR organization to ensure the seamless implementation, adoption, measurement and optimization of talent management strategies and processes.
• This highly visible position interfaces with all levels of the organization and will require some travel.
Position Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience in an instructional design capacity including program design, development and delivery utilizing adult and accelerated learning methodologies.
• Minimum 3 years experience in training and development directly related to leadership and professional development programs.
• Very strong experience in analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE).
• Ability to create blueprints, leader's guides, participant materials and slide decks.
• Experience with e-learning development is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with a Master's degree preferred.
• Strong current experience in coaching, leading and collaborating with leadership.
• Experience with measuring effectiveness of training initiatives and workforce engagement.
• Experience in communicating and working with all levels within an organization
• Project management experience
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), publishing eLearning outcomes utilizing an authoring tool.
