Job Description
Position Description
The Securitization Accounting manager will be responsible for securitization investor reporting, including preparation and review of monthly servicer reports, distributions to investors and required SEC filings. This position will own the month-end accounting close process for securitizations (e.g. review/approve journal entries, review financial statement variances for reasonableness, etc.)
Job Responsibilities
• Drive audit and regulatory compliance within respective area of responsibility including Regulation AB, which includes liaising with both internal and external auditors
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen and document control processes, encourage transparency and identify efficiencies
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Risk, Legal, Treasury and other partners to ensure all funding initiatives are successful and enterprise objectives are met
• Supervise, train and evaluate personnel and help drive talent development
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of account reconciliations, legal entity financials and SEC and regulatory reporting submissions are accurate
• Identify and drive special projects/ad hoc requests, as required
Qualifications
• BS / BBA degree in Accounting / Finance
• CPA with a minimum of 6 years of accounting/finance experience
• Experience in guiding, supervising and training at least one direct report
• Working knowledge and appreciation of month-end financial close and internal reporting processes
• Leadership ability and capacity to anticipate and develop new processes with minimal direction
• Proficient knowledge of computer skills including MS Office applications
• Experience executing under deadlines, strong project management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• High level of written and oral communication skills
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with and motivate others as a team
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
