Position Overview
If you are a confident, analytical, self-motivated and creative professional with a passion for implementing change through technology, we are your next destination employer! Apply to join us (the Single Family Business Technology Office (BTO) department of the Information Technology division at Freddie Mac) to participate in the full life cycle of a project, to include identification of requirements, design, development, testing and implementation. In this role, you will act as a liaison between our internal business areas and Single Family BTO.
Your work falls into two primary categories:
Requirements Elicitation and Documentation
• Writing system-level requirements per the selected methodology – functional process models, user stories, software requirement specifications
• Analyzing business requirements to independently convert them into detailed system requirements and functional specifications
• Provide peer reviews, tasks, and day-to-day support to others on the analyst team
• Reviewing technical designs to ensure accurate and complete translation of business requirements into detailed system level requirements
Requirements Management
• Act as a subject matter expert for specific domains within Single Family BTO
• Providing input into proposed solutions, identify impacts, risks and issues, and work with technical and business staff to implement proposed solutions
• Assist in providing or facilitating the resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems.
• Prioritizing assignments and working independently to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets customer expectations
Responsibilities include:
• Participating in the full life cycle of a project, which includes identification of detail system requirements, design, development, testing and implementation
• Acting as liaison between the business area and technical team and act as the subject matter expert for the assigned project
• Write system-level requirements per the selected methodology – functional process models, user stories, software requirement specifications
• Providing input into proposed solutions, identify impacts, risks and issues, and work with technical and business staff to implement proposed solutions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years’ work experience in Systems Analysis and Requirements Development
• Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and validate the system requirements that support the required system changes to meet the business need
• Experience with supporting project using SDLC Methodology and/or Agile Methodology in a highly regulated environment
• Ability to apply change management process and support fast-paced issue identification and resolution
• Experience translating/explaining technical decisions/concepts into business terms

Preferred Skills
• Prior Mortgage-banking industry experience a strong plus
• Graduate degree or advanced studies
• Experience with DOORS and Version One
• Experience MS Office Tools and, UML, Visio and Axure
• Knowledge of Freddie Mac's role in the Mortgage Industry
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming Principles and Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Excellent analytical, comprehension, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
