Description
We are now accepting resumes for our Regional Learning & Development Manager position. This is a key position influencing employees and leaders within ZB, N.A. This position can be filled anywhere within our corporate footprint. Of primary importance is leading existing and future efforts to maximize effort and effectiveness. Evaluation of sustainability and quality will be required. Subject matter will include employee onboarding, job skills development, performance improvement, competency development, soft skills, managerial development and change management. The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to fulfill the following responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing multiple regions overall planning, coordination and delivery of training and staff development programs
• Manages the development and adaptation of programs for specific regions and customers
• Supports the region in achieving training and development objectives
• Aligns goals and objectives for training in their regions with overall learning & development strategy
• Disseminate online, instructor-led and blended learning content; identify, schedule and review potential venues for learning
• Ensures compliance with legally and Company mandated training requirements
• Conducts needs analysis studies to determine training needs and approaches
• Formulates training policies, programs and schedules
• Manages the organization and development of training manuals and other educational materials
• Trains instructors and supervisory personnel in effective techniques for training
• Maintains records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance of training activities and instructors and to monitor progress of trainees
• Partners with HR colleagues and business leaders to understand and implement leadership development and training programs that support ongoing business needs
• Responsible for hires, transfers, terminations and performance evaluations
• Present selected training programs
• Develop and execute strategies for engaging local and remote staff in learning and development professional growth
• Aid in the promotion of ZB, N.A. in the local and regional marketplace as an exciting employer of choice and cultivate and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions and other career development resources to identify opportunities for learning and development or qualified trainers
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Requires a college degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development or a related field and 8+ years experience of organizational learning, leading and developing training teams, programs and initiatives, employee development or other directly related experience
• Management experience required
• A combination of education and experience may meet requirements
• Requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational learning, training programs and initiatives, employee training, course development and facilitation
• Must have excellent business acumen to align development programs with business needs
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, analysis and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities
• Ability to lead, motivate and train staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships
• Strong computer skills including ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite, data management software, e-learning platforms and related software
• Willingness and ability to travel to facilities occasionally
Physical Requirements
• Individuals in this role will need the ability to travel locally and long-distance by car and air. Initially you can expect to travel around 40% of the time.
