The Human Resources Unit is responsible for recruiting and hiring the bank’s employees in the Americas, administering health and welfare benefits, managing the retirement benefits program, training, performance management, and employee relations.
Talent Acquisition Coordinator Role:

The Talent Acquisition Team is responsible for developing recruitment strategies to source and acquire talent through college, lateral and internal programs. The team partners with business leaders to attract and recruit qualified candidates, manage vendor relations, process new hires and continually measure the effectiveness of their efforts. Talent Acquisition leverages the expertise of HR Business Partners, Compensation and Talent Management to align hiring with broader HR strategies and deliver a coordinated approach to recruitment.
The right candidate will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of events and ongoing programs specific to Mizuho’s University Recruiting needs. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment efforts surrounding employer brand awareness, candidate engagement, and university talent hiring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage logistics for on-campus events
• Posting job descriptions, and candidate application process
• Work with the Campus Recruiting Manager to confirm that recruiting is consistent with national guidelines and the law
• Responsible for the creation and upkeep of the resume collection database
• Assist with the development and deployment of university relations marketing collateral for recruiting events
• Coordinate and execute candidate, team, and hiring leader correspondence;
• Make travel arrangements and perform other administrative tasks as needed
• Utilize the applicant tracking system to capture all recruiting and hiring activities
• Assist in the development and execution of hiring strategy with key business groups
• Ensure a seamless recruitment experience for all candidates engaged through University Recruiting, including but not limited to: scheduling interviews, initiating background checks, onboarding activities, etc.
• Support additional initiatives and ongoing projects such as diversity hiring, affinity groups, campus ambassadors, etc.
• Assist in processing payment and maintain budget status and tracking report
• Develop standard reports for ongoing University Relations activities Support local UR recruitment efforts during the fall, spring and summer terms Additional duties as assigned by management.
• Develop and Implement Sourcing Plans. Based on the candidate requirements, design and implement a course of action to develop a pool of qualified candidates. Search candidate database using appropriate keyword strings and other Boolean search techniques. Manage recruiting costs with any eye towards resume mining and networking.
• Respond to Glassdoor reviews on a bi-monthly basis
• Run open Positions report for TA team weekly
• Update the Cost per Hire report for TA team
• Manage the eQuest posting system and review usage on a monthly basis, and admin for various posting sites
• Assist in scheduling interviews with experienced hire recruiters
• Assist in developing training programs for NAB
• Involved in various HR projects, including marketing of roles, HR goal projects, and change management projects
• Process offer letters and facilitate onboarding for campus and lateral hires
• Process new hire benefits for campus hires, such as seamless
• Process all invoices for campus, as well as travel expenses for all candidates
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
• Proficient in MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the aptitude to build relationships.
• Event coordination experience with the ability to develop and execute detailed project plans.
• Proven experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and numbers preferred
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
