POSITION TITLE
Lead Angular Developer
LOCATION

YOUR ROLE
The Lead Angular Developer is a key position in the Web Development team. This position allows Genworth to do several important items from executing on projects to upgrade legacy applications, to building new applications to support Genworth initiatives and various functional processes, to evaluating and recommend open source development tools to support development, testing and continuous integration efforts. All in an effort to better position Genworth to help someone buy a house today.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementations
• You will develop, maintain, and release web related user interfaces and prepare systems design documentation by applying company, industry, and governmental standards
• You will create, develop and maintain systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies using design tools
• You will create navigation structures and information designs; construct prototypes, storyboards, and mockups to effectively communicate design to business analysts & Enterprise Architecture team to include developing a graphic design that effectively communicates the ideas being promoted by the requirements
• You will perform user experience activities on projects as necessary
• You will demonstrate technical leadership ability in Angular, HTML5, CSS, Docker, Node, Bootstrap, Express, npm, and Communication with RESTful web services from JavaScript.
• You will perform code reviews and collaborate with peer designers / developers on project work
• You will provide limited system support and maintenance for the existing systems in the Application Development Services area
• You will guide and lead offshore development on projects as needed
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Your bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred advance degree in relevant discipline
• Your 8+ years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) discipline
• Your 5+ years of full systems development lifecycle experience building custom web applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Your 5+ years of technical experience working with in Angular, HTML5, CSS, Docker, Node, Bootstrap, Express, npm, and Communication with RESTful web services from JavaScript
• Your 5+ years of technical experience in working with Java, Jenkins, Git, BitBucket, Hibernate, Vagrant, and MySQL
• Your 5+ years of experience defining and documenting business and technical requirements, developing and testing software for corporations (financial/insurance sector preferred)
• Your experience with AWS, Kendo UI, Cloud Deployments, Linux
• Your experience in working with internal resources and also be flexible to utilize an offshore delivery center operating in a time zone different from the primary work location
• Your experience directing and supervising third-party suppliers in the fulfillment of Projects or application support
• Your experience with establishing operational and process controls to measure and verify that established processes, procedures and audit controls are followed
• Your experience in monitoring and managing SLAs and exceeding customer expectations with large volumes of request
• Your knowledge and experience in software development methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, prototyping, rapid application development
