Opportunity Overview
Edward Jones is seeking a department leader to drive our internal channel and message strategy execution. Working closely with our Firm Messaging Strategy department and additional Message teams, you will be responsible for two teams:
• Channel Management – Lead a team to develop a vision and implementation plan on how to evolve existing channels and explore innovative new ones to deliver information to our headquarter associates and 35,000+ field associates across more than 13,000 locations.
• Internal Communication Messaging- Lead a team to develop and deliver communication strategies and deliverables to align the headquarters and field associates.
Key Responsibilities
• Create holistic internal communication channel vision that can leverage data to reach various audiences with tailored messages – push, pull, contextual, etc. Provide direction and recommendations to team leader and associates in implementing the vision.
• Lead the development of internal channel platform that can integrate data and/or feedback across channels, such as Intranet, mobile, chat, video, social media, etc.
• Collaborate across marketing and with technology and service teams, and other channel owners across the firm
• Provide direction to team leader and associates responsible for communicating firm wide capabilities initiatives, such as planning and strategy, compensation and benefits and leadership development
• Partner with team leaders to develop integrated intra-divisional strategic communication approach to establish best practices for senior leaders to communicate re-organizations, climate surveys, business planning and priorities.
• Partner with insights network to integrate client-centric point of view into all communication
Position Requirements
• Marketing, Communication or related degree. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience related to driving strategic communication initiatives with at least 3-5 years of direct leadership experience.
• Extensive expertise in developing and directing others to deliver strategic outcomes in large, complex organizations.
• Demonstrated experience with marketing channel solutions, including email/email campaigns, internal social media (i.e. Yammer, Slack), Intranet, responsive design principles.
• Demonstrated experience in developing communication strategy and driving execution across multiple deliverables and channels, including written, speeches, presentations and meeting facilitation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines and drive effective resource allocation
• Ability to influence and present to all levels of leadership in the organization.
