Overview
• Responsible for transforming business concepts into actionable copy while supporting the overall brand principles. They will be tasked with writing compelling copy for advertising, customer communications and a wide variety of touchpoints that help to elevate the brand narrative and drive measurable results. The position will also be instrumental in developing several facets of the overall brand strategy, including brand voice, product level messaging, buyer personas and brand guidelines.
Job Description
• Write both long and short-form copy for all communications channels
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine project needs, budget and timeline
• Project manage copy related initiative from conception to execution
• Ensure adherence to the brand guidelines and maintain the brand voice in all materials
• Perform proactive monitoring and maintenance of existing campaigns
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
• Skills & Abilities: (Include any required computer skills, regulatory knowledge, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree (English, Creative Writing, Communications or Advertising preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience writing consumer facing communications
• Creative and conceptual thinker who can distill complex ideas into simple concepts for a variety of consumers
• Strong understanding of grammar and diction
• Familiarity with a range of content management systems, including web and email editors
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
• Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and sound judgment
• Consumer brand or, if possible, financial services/mortgage industry experience preferred
• Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
