Responsibilities:
Principal is actively seeking an exceptional individual with strong technical and collaboration skills for a Financial Analyst role. In this position, you will be working on the Life Actuarial Financial Reporting Team within our Individual Life business area. The responsibilities include calculating life insurance reserves and deferred acquisition costs, analyzing results, and producing reports. This role offers an individual the opportunity to collaborate with other functional areas within the Individual Life business as well as our independent auditors. This role will also have a focus on actuarial modernization and process improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, finance or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience required. Experience in the life insurance industry is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Knowledge of Excel and Access or similar PC software packages is required. Candidates with SAS or actuarial software systems are preferred.
• Ability to evaluate, plan and implement process improvements
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
