Section 1: Position Summary
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving strategy and tactics to support newly available state-sponsored retirement programs. This individual will oversee all aspects of marketing including planning, budgeting, project and vendor management, client consultation, creative direction, distribution, fulfillment, measurement, research, analysis, and state client relationships. Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties, and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with state clients and external marketing agencies to develop marketing plans for all phases of state-sponsored retirement program implementation: pre-launch, launch, and post-launch.
• Collaborate with the state, field representatives, IRA technical experts, and all appropriate internal and external groups to ensure the development and delivery of outreach materials that provide appropriate calls to action for employers and employees.
• Guide in-house and external marketing agency in the execution of marketing plans.
• Create annual client analysis and year-in-reviews, study data, and draw conclusions about trends and opportunities from a marketing perspective.
• Schedule and traffic marketing projects using online management system.
• Provide web strategy and facilitate web production processes, including preparing scope documents and reviewing changes in staging and production environment.
• Manage print production, including gathering pricing and estimates, sending files to print, approving proofs, choosing fulfillment options, and distributing direct mail.
• Manage fulfillment, including monitoring deliveries and inventory levels, entering orders as necessary, and conducting periodic reviews to keep inventory up to date.
• Manage email production process, including scheduling with vendor, preparing links, maintaining documentation, and reviewing test files.
• Manage invoices and budgets.
• Coordinate research efforts.
• Lead formal presentations (either in person or via phone) to clients and internal leadership team on key marketing initiatives.
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with the Relationship Management Team, collaborate with them on the client experience and providing performance updates.
• Research and create content for RFP responses and presentations.
• Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
• Minimum of seven years of experience in financial services marketing
• Marketing communications and project management expertise
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Experience managing integrated marketing programs with offline and online components
• Ability to lead client presentations, support RFPs, and produce creative briefs, project plans, and cost estimates
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-service-driven environment
• Strong project management skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
• Highly motivated and resourceful problem solver
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external clients along with all levels of management
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to make meaningful interpretations
