We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner who will be responsible for HR support for DSA Re, an AIG business unit with investor partnership through The Carlyle Group (TCG). You will work with the business and other HR colleagues to provide full life-cycle human resources activities to include: Job Design and Compensation Administration, Employee Engagement, Manager Onboarding and Consultation, HR Vendor Oversight (HRIS, Background Screening, Benefits, Payroll and Leave Administration), Exit and Stay Interviews, Reductions in Force, Off-boarding and Unemployment, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, People Analytics, Governmental Reporting and Posting Requirements. Further, you will be responsible for Internal Communications activities and consistent messaging throughout the organization as progress is made toward independence.
In the early stages, you will partner with various COEs and HR Specialists to learn the AIG processes, evaluate effectiveness for DSA Re, and assist in building a stand-alone HR organization and infrastructure as DSA Re separates from AIG’s HR structure. Key responsibilities of this role include managing the transition of the compensation and benefits programs, and providing oversight of the HRIS and payroll migrations, as well as other HR-related reverse integration activities. The position will report to the Head of HR for DSA Re.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Implement, evaluate and manage HR Operations to include HRIS and payroll programs
• Responsible for management and oversight of payroll administration, ensuring TPAs meet service level agreements
• Responsible for oversight of health and retirement benefits administration, and ensuring TPAs meet service level agreements
• Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other resources of information
• Create, implement, evaluate and manage DSA Re's compensation and benefits programs
• Keep apprised of federal, state and local laws to ensure company compliance
• Responsible for data management, analysis and process improvement
• Maintain company’s competitiveness in the labor market
• Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and the organization’s objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to management
• Manage the administration of direct compensation including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation –related actions on employees
• Provide day-to-day HR consultation, which includes: guidance on job design and compensation structure; employee engagement benchmarking; surveys and actions items to improve retention; conducting manager and employee onboarding, and exit and stay interviews; carry out Reductions in Force, off-boarding and unemployment activities; partner with managers on internal communication; learning and development needs; employee relations, including the administration and tracking of progressive corrective action
Job Requirements:
• 10+ years of progressive human resources experience
• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• Experience in all disciplines of HR, including: employee relations, compensation, benefits and operations
• Ability to design and execute programs, including recommendations to insource, outsource, manage TPAs and consultants
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Established ability to build relationships, internally and externally
• Strong problem solving abilities
• Strong analytical and project management skills, as well as use of data to drive results
