Department Overview
The Marketing Manager III is accountable for supporting all mergers and acquisitions through TD Bank Group. The accountabilities of this job are diverse ranging from strategic development and execution of brand launch activities, targeted customer communications through various channels, to developing data requirements and segmentation specifications, and overseeing /coordinating Joint Requirement Sessions and Work Breakdown Structure sessions. This job builds and maintains strong relationships with Agencies, Suppliers, Business Units, Legal, Compliance, IPMO and other internal departments to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and with maximum effectiveness, while keeping the Customer Experience in the forefront at each stage of the program.
Job Description
• Scoping of opportunities through the due diligence process – providing foundational base of marketing costs to be used in business case.
• Strategic and tactical execution of varied marketing activities supporting acquisitions (enterprise level to specific LOB level).
• Leads cross functional teams by Managing and provides meaningful direction on activities such as brand launch, GAP analysis, technology business requirements documents, product mapping, copy evaluations, creative development and execution of direct mail, in-branch collateral, web, advertising,, call forecasting and other materials as required.
• Responsible for the preparation of briefs, copy development, and copy matrices; including obtaining senior executive level support to strategic approach.
• Represents marketing at the customer experience table, ensuring senior executive support of integration activities.
• Develops training materials as necessary.
• Addresses any Customer inquiries through Contact Centers/Branches, and develops in-branch collateral primarily through published Q & A’s.
• Creates messaging for internal communications, web materials.
• Manages project timelines.
• Approves as well as oversees programming, laser and letter shop and analyzing results.
• Ability to travel.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor Degree required, ideally in Marketing.
• 8-10 years Direct Marketing experience.
• Direct marketing knowledge, including building data requirements, data merging, profiles, segmentation, testing and Quality Control.
• Ability to develop strategies to meet the business/acquisition needs.
• Ability to work across strategic planning groups to drive concensus and support to planned approach.
• Understanding of gap analysis and product mapping.
• Superior execution and project management abilities, with a proven ability to deal with complex data requirements, segments and targeted copy development.
• Ability to analyze direct marketing results and share and apply learning to future programs.
• Understanding of IPMO process, Canadian and US banking operations an asset.
• Proven success in leveraging communications through and across different channels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively and interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills and solid problem solving and decision making ability.
• Possesses effective meeting, time management and presentation skills. Able to work on multiple project and deliverables simultaneously.
