North America Retail Marketing Manager (Chicago)
For the Retail Marketing team, our very simple goal is to educate and provide the best of CME’s real-time tools and services to traders across the globe. As a Retail Marketing Manager, you will help to communicate our value proposition to a retail (active individual trader) audience and develop campaigns that support a prospect’s path to trading futures.
You’re a B2C marketer who will help shape the voice for the Retail trader segment and grow it to a loyal, responsive audience base. This means you will work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, and more.
You will be involved with the marketing strategy from beginning to end.

You will…
• Define roadmaps, success criteria, and key deliverables that will effectively transform strategic plans into new/improved businesses, products, processes, and services.
• Attend client events and trade shows / own the North America event strategy with accountability for results and outcomes.
• Consult, plan, manage and execute internal and external events (both face to face and virtual), roadshows and product launches
• Partner with various brokerage firms to create quality metrics reports and use data to inform decisions to drive customer acquisition growth
• Develop and execute on strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer retention
• Translate myriad marketing metrics into digestible and actionable insights for key stakeholders, including Executives
• Drive tactics and content including whitepapers, collateral, emails, events and social media to reach the right audience at the right time - moving them successfully through the lead funnel
Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Director of Retail Marketing to guide the marketing plan for Retail; partner closely with the Sales organization to develop a plan that support Sales targets; be accountable for quarterly targets and goals
• Design, build, measure and optimize lead generation and nurture programs
• Develop, test and optimize messages and campaigns across all channels (online, print, events); Evolve plans based on results and changing needs of the business
• Collaborate across Marketing services, Sales, Business Line Managers and Research teams to deliver collateral, web content, emails, event messaging, strategic communications and other assets that drive prospect engagement; partner with external agencies as appropriate
• Delegate to and partner with the Marketing Execution Specialist who works across vertical teams
• Create framework to address requests based on unplanned Sales opportunities and business development needs, as well as real-time event-based communication needs
• Manage budgets including estimates, status reporting, revenue forecasts, invoicing, etc. and measure the marketing activity for cross segment initiatives
Desired Skills and Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in a marketing role
• Experience developing, executing, and measuring lead generation programs for B2C audiences
• Strong understanding of the role of technology services in financial institutions; understanding of the audiences and how to reach them with marketing programs
• Experience pulling and interpreting marketing analytics
• Detail oriented and deadline-driven
• Superior communication skills, strong attention to detail, a collaborative work style, and an unparalleled work ethic; collaboration across teams in crucial to success
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Tableau and Google Analytics required. Experience working with CRM and email tools such as Salesforce and Pardot preferred
Reporting Structure
This position will report to the Director of Retail Marketing and requires close collaboration with Marketing Manager colleagues in APAC and EMEA
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business related field required, MBA a plus
Background in the financial services industry a plus, but not required

Ability and willingness to travel to client events up to 40%
