The Portfolio ManagerIII position will leverage capital market knowledge and experience along with the daily interaction with other portfolio managers and analysts to manage the investment portfolios of the larger and more complex agency and fiduciary accounts of Associated Trust Company, N.A. (“ATC”) in a risk controlled manner. The Portfolio Manager III oversees assets under management of approximately $150,000,000 to $400,000,000 generating fees of approximately $1,000,000 to $2,500,000. The Portfolio Manager III is also responsible for supporting Private Client and Institutional Services (“PCIS”) marketing/sales of investment management services and is expected to assist in annual sales of $40,000 in fees.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn’t meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Develop investment strategy/asset allocation for existing and prospective clients for complex situations
Manage investment portfolios to meet clients’ risk/return objectives for complex situations
Participate in new business solicitation process including preparation of sales presentation materials, completion of requests for proposal, and sales presentations to prospective clients
Maintain and document portfolio compliance with ATC polices for assigned accounts
Lead or serve on internal committees that set policy and review compliance
Relative performance of managed accounts and/or models
Provide timely, informative communication to clients on portfolio results and strategy in-person, via phone, or other preferred communication
Maintain a clear understanding and support of PCIS’s initiatives across bank partners.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Through regular, direct interaction with clients, the Portfolio Manager III develops and maintains appropriate investment strategy based on client circumstances, objectives, and risk tolerance. May also be responsible for more complex, visible relationships that may involve multi-generational family relationships, outside consultants, and/or foundation or endowment boards of directors. The Portfolio Manager III is also responsible for the effective communication of past portfolio results and current/future portfolio strategy with a broad spectrum of clients.
• The Portfolio Manager III is a key contributor to components of the ongoing management and administration of the investment function through active participation in teams involved in one or more of the following: Development and administration of compliance policies and procedures; Providing individual security research to the group; Providing external manager/fund research to the group; Providing macro research and asset allocation analysis to the group; Managing model portfolios and/or Research and development of new investment processes/products.
• The incumbent executes strategy and monitors portfolios within the framework established by the Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) in adherence to the compliance policies and procedures of ATC.
