Position Description Overview
The Business Partner, Technical Accounting is responsible for ensuring Companywide compliance withUS GAAP and internal accounting policies, review complex transactions, assist in adopting new standards, and design and lead training sessions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background. This position participates in a variety of projects across the company and is a resource for other groups within the organization. This position interfaces with all levels within the organization including senior management and much have demonstrable communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide technical accounting expertise and policy interpretation for complex transactions.
• Strong background in Revenue Recognition and accounting for Internal-Use Software.
• Responsible for technical accounting research and writing accounting memos to support the Company’s positions and conclusions.
• Review proposed contracts and other potential transactions.
• Maintain existing accounting policies and create new policies as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of new standards.
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with other groups within the organization including accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, finance, legal and human resources as well as with external auditors and consultants.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with other groups within the organization including accounting, tax, treasury, finance and legal.
• Ability to manage and prioritize competing deliverables.
Job Requirements
• 4 to 8 years of accounting experience including some in public accounting.
• Experience in researching and interpreting accounting standards, including those related to complex topics.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Active CPA required.
