Description
The Sourcing Commodity Specialist in our Procurement Services organization collaboratively works with Sourcing Commodity Leads to define and implement category strategies and is responsible for leading smaller scale sourcing projects.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Executing commodity and sourcing strategies / practices for one or more Consumer and Commercial operations sub commodities
• Creating and developing strong working relationships with key internal and external partners up to Executive levels to achieve strategic objectives of the company
• Working with cross-functional teams to lead sourcing initiatives from start to finish, including RFx events, auctions and contract negotiations
• Maintaining working relationship with Citizens' vendor base and business line colleagues with the objective to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Working with business lines and developing strategic plans that optimize the value derived from third party vendor engagements and mitigating associated risks
• Analyzing market data, performance data and other key metrics to optimize service performance
• Utilizing analytical thinking and tools to identify new value-add opportunities (spend, performance or risk related) in vendor contracts
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
• 2 or more years of relevant sourcing experience in support of Operations
• Experience leading complex sourcing engagements using industry best practices for sourcing processes
• Proven success with developing stakeholder relationships at senior levels of an organization
• Deep understanding of contracting in highly regulated industry (Financial Services preferred), including Managed Services contracts, Cloud services, and SaaS deals
• Strong consulting, project management and analytics skills
• Proficient in client management and change management
• Demonstrated oral and written communication and presentation skills; excellent listening skills
• Proficient in negotiation strategy, persuasion and influence techniques
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Experience working with credit bureaus
• Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and delivering cost savings
Education:
• BA/BS in supply chain management or business related field; or relevant military experience
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM
