Job Description:
This position will be responsible for supporting the in-house attorneys in the Legal Department.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in-house attorneys with preparation and maintenance of SEC, FINRA and other regulatory filings, including those for foreign jurisdictions
• Draft and maintain multiple corporate entity records, including corporate files, board minutes, and stockholder records
• Coordinate and prepare Board meeting materials for multiple domestic and international corporate entities
• Assist with updating various trading documentation
• Coordinate distribution of prospectuses and other disclosure documents
• Track deadlines of various corporate filings and compliance requirements
• Maintain departmental manuals and procedures
• Process invoices for the legal group
• Perform notarizations
• Complete other general corporate, legal, and compliance projects
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with five to ten years corporate transactional paralegal experience
• Asset manager or financial services experience helpful (but not necessary)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems (e.g. iManage Desksite system)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Independent thinker with positive team-player attitude
• Paralegal Certificate desired (but not necessary)
• Notary (or willing to become a Notary)
