You will play an integral role in supporting AIG’s strategy through communications programs and activities that will inform, engage, and inspire our employees around the world. The ideal candidate is someone who will come to work every day with energy, ideas, and the inner drive to bring those ideas to life.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for effectively, timely and consumable communications across a broad range of topics to AIG employees globally
• Support message development and delivery for global, regional and business unit audiences
• Advise on channel selection, and assist in determining the overall communications needs and frequency for various internal communications channels, such as audio, email, intranet, digital displays and digital assets, newsletters, podcasts, face-to-face, etc.
• Work closely with key corporate cross-functional partners (Human Resources, IT, Digital, etc.) to assist in defining overall internal communications needs, initiatives and activities, including town hall and senior leadership (CEO) events, content management and logistics, development and execution of communications plans, WebEx meetings and Yammer events.
• Responsible for project management and driving results
• Track metrics to measure the effectiveness of our communications and channels
• Align with our Global Marketing and Branding team to ensure branding and messaging is consistent across the enterprise
Job Requirements:
• 3-5 years of internal communications experience working at a large corporate organization ideally
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a strong track record of writing for a variety of communication vehicles.
• Tech savvy and internal web portal experience, highly desirable
• Inquisitiveness and a desire to learn new things and take the initiative
• Versatility: Self-starter with keen attention to detail and demonstrated ability to think critically, and ability to multitask and change direction with the need arises, in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and nimble environment
• An eye for design and an ability to create content and assets for the intranet, newsletters, email and digital signage.
• Comfort level interacting with and presenting to individuals at all levels of the organization
• Hands-on experience with creating and uploading intranet content
• Familiarity with content management systems and SharePoint team sites
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign), social, collaboration and mobile platforms.
• Video production and editing skills a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism or Marketing
