\The Business Intelligence (BI) leader will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of creating business intelligence and reporting tools to measure and manage the business. True to the business adage, 'if you can't measure it, you can't manage it', the business intelligence leader works with Accounting, FP&A and the lines of business to create and maintain real time measurement and management analysis and reports.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Supervise a team of direct reports - including Architects, Report developers, SQL developers and Administrators
2. Responsible for working with business owners and data stewards on data governance
3. Responsible for a major program of work to replace all existing reporting systems to a single consolidated, cloud based, fully governed, single version of the truth to drive business performance
4. Responsible for the loading and aggregation of data, creation of business metrics, reporting systems both Accounting and Operational as well as for SOX and PCI compliance as it relates to BI data
Critical and Essential Tasks
1. Create, manage and maintain a complete suite of operations, business reports and dashboards that provide visibility into the business activities and work with business stakeholders to align the reports using tools like SQL Server, all IBM SaaS Cloud products including DB2, Advanced Analytics, Cognos, Watson and other Data Visualization tools like Tableau. Inclusive of the current business but also other localities and businesses as they are launched.
2. Consolidate data from sources like POS (OLTP) and ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, PeopleSoft). Must be experienced in high volume transaction processing systems and the challenges that come with it.
▪ Multi-currency conversion and localized reporting
▪ Data architecture for performance and scale
▪ Facts and dimensions and build-out of multi dimension reporting cubes
▪ Self-service analytics
▪ Interfaces into Financial and Operational reporting systems
▪ SOX compliance as it relates to Accounting reporting systems data feed
▪ Business metrics, data definition, data governance, etc.
1. High availability mission critical BI systems
2. Real time analytics
▪ Support in defining trends, proving and disproving hypotheses, and finding areas for efficiency and improvement
▪ Collect survey responses to improve products and operations to drive customer satisfaction
Requirements Experience
8+ years of experience working in SQL and the IBM toolset
5+ years working with OLTP data Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred

▪ Demonstrated experience with cloud BI systems - particularly IBM cloud
▪ Experienced in building Enterprise Data Warehouses that contain business metrics used for Accounting, Financial and Operational reporting.
▪ Demonstrated skills necessary to build a high performing team of very technical individuals as well as understand the business in order to assist Accounting and Operational teams in the delivery of reporting that enables effective business decisions.
▪ Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work; and time management and organizational skills
▪ Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
▪ Demonstrated ability to solve problems
