Job Description
Contract Project Management
Owns and implements moderate to highly complex contract projects of small to moderate scale, developing business requirements, making contract revisions, and completing other contract-related tasks using acceptable project management tools and processes and adhering to established standards
Contributes as a team member on moderate to highly complex projects that impact multiple disciplines, making contract revisions and completing other contract-related tasks using acceptable project management tools and processes and adhering to established standards
Ensures that proposed contract language adheres to applicable state laws, meets stated business goals, and supports favorable relationships with state regulators
Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables
Actively participates in and/or leads the development of project plans, adhering to timelines for contract-related milestones
Communicates and presents project status to internal and external stakeholders
Proactively identifies potential project risks and participates in and/or leads the development of plans/solutions to mitigate these risks
Ensures project controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the project
Reviews technical specifications for contract projects that are of moderate to high complexity and of small to moderate scale, validating output to ensure business requirements have been met
Assists in determining where additional resources or expertise may be necessary to successfully complete projects/assignments
Creates all post-implementation documentation associated with contract projects and ensures that project files are archived appropriately
Actively builds and maintains strong relationships among teams and team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
Provides feedback on project team member(s) that contributes to performance management
Process and Product Design/Improvement
Supports and/or leads the development and design of new, moderately complex contract changes, plans, programs, processes, and products
Develops communication strategies and materials to support new plans, programs, processes, and products
Regularly solicits inputs from key stakeholders
Regularly participates in the evaluation of procedures and processes, determining/recommending alternatives or improvements
Establishes and communicates new and/or revised procedures and processes to team/department
Ensures processes are followed and applied consistently throughout team/department
Understands and adheres to internal and external compliance requirements and standards.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience: 3-5 years of related experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate problem-solving skills; can analyze and resolve ambiguous problems
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups
Strong organizational and project management skills in order to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner
Intermediate decision making skills; gains support for difficult decisions/solutions
Works effectively in a team environment
