Position Highlights
The Investment Partners Channel Senior Marketing Manager develops relationships and coordinates joint marketing activities with leading investment management firms. The function fully supports sales efforts by engaging advisors, increasing plan sales and market share, and improving overall experience and retention. Success in this role is tightly aligned to lead generation and the achievement of sales goals. The ideal candidate is energetic and highly organized, and can synthesize key trends and topics in the investment and retirement industry.
Primary Responsibilities
• Establish and develop relationships with key marketing counterparts at 15-20 leading investment management partners
• Coordinate thought leadership content in a joint effort with the Director of Thought Leadership, identifying themes and expertise that complement Empower Institute initiatives
• Develop a database of management and field contacts across DCIO firms via Salesforce for inclusion in marketing campaign calendar
• Continuously update investment partners on Empower thought leadership content, seeking opportunities for placement via promotional channels
• Solicit and schedule investment partners’ practice management content to be published through Empower marketing channels – including but not limited to newsletters, blogs, social media, and Empower websites. Catalog and conduct review of sales materials as needed.
• Coordinate and maximize spend of joint hosted paid media events – i.e. advisor or client webcasts
• Work with event planning and event marketing to secure speakers for Empower hosted events and industry conferences – including scheduling, developing speaker content, obtaining and reviewing selected collateral
• Support Empower presence at investment partner events – including placement and attendance of Empower subject matter experts and executives
• Report measurable results / activity across all firms for executive-level reporting
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of product/marketing management, preferably in Retirement services or related industries
• Relationship and partner management skills
• Understanding of competitive marketplace
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to visual and design elements
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
• Innovative and creative mind
• Familiarity with the latest marketing trends and technologies
• Insurance and FINRA 6, 26 and 63 licenses/registrations preferred
Normal office environment with some exposure to repetitive motion, as well as minimal exposure to bending, reaching, crouching, or other non-sitting, non-standing positions.
