The Role
In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while processing and triaging new disability claims within a time sensitive, production environment. The ideal candidate needs to bring strong customer service skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere and a passion for achieving optimal outcomes for our customers and the company. You will perform in a fast-paced, high-production, high-volume environment. Work is driven primarily by the intake of new short term and long term disability claims.
Responsibilities
• Provides exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately processing and triaging new disability claims.
• Service customers through effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Demonstrates understanding of customer specific needs to accurately process new claims.
• Manages new claim tasks accurately and within established time standards. Manages and utilizes time effectively to ensure the required service levels for new claim turnaround, as well as quality and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Efficiently utilize on-line reference materials to provide accurate and timely information.
• Identify opportunities and develop recommendations to improve business processes.
Qualifications
Education
• High School degree or equivalent experience, and at least two years of relevant, progressively responsible, experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, production environment.
Experience
• Ability to work under strict time constraints.
• Attention to detail to gather and maintain important information.
• Track record of identifying opportunities and recommending solutions to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Knowledge of Lincoln Financial Benefits products.
