Position Description
As a member of the Global Wealth Services Operations Unit, the Securities Analyst will be responsible for processing traditional asset settlements for foreign trades, while supporting external clients. This position will handle multi-currency transactions related to custody of global securities and Foreign Exchange processing. The analyst will deal with domestic and international counterparties ensuring timely settlement and accurate accounting of these transactions. This position will provide coverage and support to various team members, and may be called upon to assist with related activities within the Operations Services Unit. The team structure addresses services such as: Global Settlements, Option Settlements, Securities Lending, Derivative/Collateral Processing and TBA Pair-Off Settlements in addition to a few other types of Alternative Asset Processing. These services require special attention and knowledge. The selected individual should be detail oriented, efficient, timely, and able to handle multiple situations. The position will provide challenges in meeting deadlines, handling spikes in volumes, and at times client inquiries with related time sensitivity. The selected candidate must be able to handle these situations in an efficient, professional manner, with quality and completeness.
Responsibilities
Process daily trade settlement activity for Traditional Assets in a multi-currency environment
Identify and resolve pre-settlement trade matching exceptions
Identify and assist in the resolution of platform exceptions and issues that are related to FX and Traditional Asset trade processing
Calculation of incoming and outgoing transactions for daily net settlement with Global Custodian
Maintain awareness of the various international market cutoff times to resolve pre-match and trade settlement issues
Monitor and resolve out of balances with custodians within defined time frames
Identify and resolve cash and position differences with the custodians
Willingness and ability to initiate client contact
Ability to multi-task
Provide backup and assistance to other team members
Assist in implementation/validating of new technology
Interface with Operating units and business units as required to provide awareness of processing problems as they arise
Position Requirements
B.S./B.A. in Business or related field preferred
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
Excellent time management skills
Must be detail oriented and capable of completing the workload in an accurate and timely manner
Team oriented
