Our team members in this role provide consultation, feedback and lead company directives in an effort to improve the organization’s operations and build intrinsic value to Credit Acceptance. The Project Leader position is to manage projects using the Credit Acceptance PMO Methodology, with the ultimate goal of improving company performance and managing risk.
Outcomes & Activities:
EVALUATE Phase: Partner with the Project Sponsor to clearly and objectively analyze the opportunity to identify where and how we can improve performance or manage risk.
• Clearly identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Place opportunities into context and solve problems at source.
• Produce clear and concise evaluation deliverables.
• Facilitate educated evaluation review meetings.
EXECUTE & FINALIZE Phase: Implement scope and direction agreed during evaluate phase. Ensure smooth hand-over to operations and framework in place to objectively assess project impact.
• Determine, based on scope, best project approach to use and right people to involve.
• Direct and monitor project assignments; escalate to leader appropriately.
• Transition processes to operational owners at end of project.
• Understand how and when to use steps/deliverables in methodology to accomplish goals effectively.
THROUGHOUT ALL Phases: Maintain Clarity and Confidence for:
• What we are doing, Why we are doing it, What 'done' looks like.
• Project Approach, Project Roles & Responsibilities.
• Whether project remains 'the right work' at 'the right time'.
• Status of project work (through clear, accurate and concise status updates & meetings).
Perform administrative duties to support project work:
• Maintain accurate and informative project information in central project repository.
• Provide monthly spend/allocation and capacity information to leader responsible for Program Management.
• Update and maintain process maps using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
• All other duties as assigned.
• Attendance as required by department.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Project Management or relevant project experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Process Evaluation and Improvement Experience.
• Experience with presenting to leadership.
• Effectively communicate (verbal and written) to differing audience types.
• Be able to handle difficult conversations professionally.
• Be a quick thinker, with an ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively.
• Demonstrate initiative by being proactive and urgent in work duties and making recommendations as opportunities arise.
• Be organized, with an ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple requests.
• Have problem-solving skills and a strong decision making ability and exercise good judgment.
• You need to be self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Have a positive attitude, with an ability to successfully cope with a changing environment.
• Be receptive to ongoing feedback aimed at improving the performance of you and your team.
• Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines.
• Work onsite at the required Credit Acceptance work location.
Preferred:
• Minimum of 1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum of 1 year with IT Projects.
• PMP Certification.
• Experience in the Financial Industry.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Organized and capable of meeting all deadlines.
• Remain positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations.
• Be a quick thinker, with an ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively.
• Be self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Targeted Compensation: $59,367.00 - $79,156.00
Required degrees must have been earned at institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
