Description
The CCAR Accounting & Finance Analyst will ensure that all procedures of Regulatory Reporting Department and consistent with the applicable federal regulations and instructions of the relevant report. The Analyst works with the team to establish procedure and protocol for Q&A feedback loop, and develop desktop procedures and responsibility matrix.
• Complete workpapers (validations, trend analyses, reconciliations, etc) in accordance with Accounting policies and procedures to support monthly / quarterly FR Y-14 regulatory filings with the Federal Reserve Board (“FRB”)
• Maintain up to date checklists and desktop procedures which accurately describe the process by which the workpapers are created and regulatory filings are completed
• Respond to inquiries from the FRB and other regulatory agencies in a timely manner, ensuring the completeness of the response and appropriate supporting documentation
• Interpret new FRB instructions for implementation as BAU reporting in accordance with the required timeline. More broadly, maintain an awareness of the current regulatory landscape, keeping up to date with new developments which may impact FR Y-14 reporting
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business partners such as IT, Risk, Operations, etc.
• Demonstrate the ability to react to changes, new requirements, and necessary ad hoc tasks with the same diligence as when following established BAU procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior personnel, while maintaining the appropriate level of supporting documentation and analyses, and the ability to address follow-up questions
• Maintain all workpapers, checklists, desktop procedures, and other associated documentation in an audit-ready state at all times
• Develop control models to validate completeness of reports, develop validations to confirm data integrity and reconciliations with other reports, and determine set of analytics to be performed prior to filing reports

Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or other related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in bank reporting and analysis
• Strong computer skills, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint are a must
• Prior experience in data mining and analysis preferred
• Hyperion Essbase, Smartview, Microsoft Access experience are a plus
• Able to handle and complete multiple tasks within a given timeframe efficiently and accurately
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships throughout the organization
