Cloud Security Architect
Position Summary:
As a Cloud Security Architect, you will be developing and executing key objectives and strategies to identify, measure, and manage risks across the global enterprise. The Cloud Security Architect is essential to delivering secure architecture designs in Public Cloud including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The Cloud Security Architect position is responsible for providing leadership for delivering secure cloud solutions to development teams and being deeply involved in the cloud migration process.
Data is our business, protecting it is paramount. Our Global Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Equifax's users and employees. As a Cloud Security Architect, you'll be a key player in the security roadmap and consulting efforts that address Equifax's needs for Cyber, Product, Infrastructure, Data and Identity capabilities. The Cloud Security Architect will partner directly with the leaders in each security discipline to design solutions and then work with Engineering and Development teams to bring those designs to life.
In this role, the Cloud Security Architect will be responsible for handling the design and construction of complex software products. As a part of our Global Security team, the Cloud Security Architect will also research and incubate new technologies and frameworks to be used within projects. They will also ensure that the team is aligned with the strategic objectives, requirements and platform enterprise architecture. The Cloud Security Architect will also be responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to other members of the software development team, peers and other teams within the Engineering department.
Additional responsibilities of the Cloud Security Architect include:
• Delivering secure architecture designs in Public Cloud including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Provide leadership for delivering secure cloud solutions to development teams and being deeply involved in the cloud migration process
• Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams throughout Equifax as a subject matter expert in cloud security architecture best practices
• Develop and implement secure cloud strategy in conjunction with enterprise architecture for Equifax to meet market growth demands
• Act as subject-matter-expert for public cloud end-to-end security architecture, including networking, storage, databases, provisioning, and management
• Design security services and capabilities that run on cloud platform potentially integrating with on-prem solutions with forward-thinking approach to meet Equifax's business goals
• Drive continuous integration and deployment of secure cloud solutions
• Create security roadmaps to achieve both short-and-long-term complex business requirements
• Document secure patterns for consuming cloud services for use by the technology teams
Required Skills of the Cloud Security Architect:
• Senior level architect with 5-7 years of planning, architecting, and engineering enterprise class systems and services
• 1 - 3 years of experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting greenfield and/or migrations to public cloud
• 1 - 3 years of experience with securing public cloud solutions, integrating the security ecosystem with various cloud technologies
• Ability to build secure architecture patterns and provide prescriptive guidance on how to secure network, storage, operating systems, virtualization, RDBMS & NoSQL databases, containers etc. in public cloud
• Ability to facilitate security decisions related to cloud native services as well as the overall eco system of public cloud model such as key management, logging/security, CI/CD tooling etc.
• Knowledgeable of industry standard security frameworks and controls required of Public Cloud services to host sensitive data
• Serve as security liaison between the security teams and the cloud COE, supporting technology architecture, security advisement and security audit teams
• Strong experience in DevSecOps concepts and automation (Cloudformation/Terraform/Chef)
Preferred Skills of the Cloud Security Architect:
• Experience in highly regulated industry
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Master’s degree preferred
• CISSP, GIAC, and related certification(s) preferred
