American Money Management Corp. (AMMC) was founded in 1973 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of AFG, to provide investment and asset management services to AFG-owned operation companies (primarily affiliated insurance companies) and to various third-parties. We are currently looking for an Investment Analyst to join our investment management team.
Responsibilities
• Conduct independent investment/credit analysis primarily on leveraged loans, as well as other investments.
• Build and maintain historical financial summaries and financial models to evaluate potential investment opportunities
• Provide write-ups and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Work closely with senior analysts to research, analyze and monitor various companies and industries.
• Develop industry expertise over time to assess cycles, longer term trends, and structural changes.
• Attend industry conferences and participate in bank calls regarding new issues and updates.
• Participate in portfolio reviews and strategy discussions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Previous credit analysis/leveraged finance experience is preferred.
• Progress towards the CFA designation is desired.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
