Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Counterparty Risk and Margin Technologies in New York, New York
Responsible for implementing software used by risk managers to analyze, report on, and mitigate risk. Write applications that are used by both the firm’s internal risk managers to set margin policy, as well as by external hedge fund clients to help manage their portfolios. Develop enterprise level systems using java and RDBMS, NoSql Technologies. Oversee our distributed computing stack comprising of Memcached and hazelcast. Work with Quants to integrate new models into the Risk Analytics product offering. Responsible for augmenting the software in order to satisfy changing client requirements.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as an Associate, Manager, or related occupation in financial services technology. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Java programming including design and implementation fundamentals; object oriented design patterns; Unix/Linux environment including common commands, traversing file systems, and shell scripting; RDBMS including Sybase; and SQL including DML, DDL, triggers, and schema design. Requires two (2) years of experience with: concurrent programming concepts; Core Java 1.6+; Spring Framework including IoC container and JDBC templates; RDBMS including DB2; SQL including stored procedures; unit testing including Junit and mocking frameworks; and measuring code coverage including Clover.
