Financial Engines is looking for an energetic individual to serve as a Print Specialist on the Studio team here in our Phoenix office. This role is responsible for providing operational support for our client marketing campaigns and communication deliverables. The position involves managing operational assignments that include creating print marketing material using InDesign within the Creative Cloud environment. This position reports to the Manager of Print Communications and helps to ensure both the delivery of ‘best in class’ client communication materials and a superior client experience.
Responsibilities:
• Create print offset marketing materials for client communication campaigns.
• Respond to ‘edit’ requests associated with client communication campaigns.
• Generate ‘Press ready” samples and proofs for review and approval purposes.
• Manage personal ticket work queue to ensure internal SLAs are met in a timely manner.
• Proofreading and fact checking of communication requests from internal clients.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining established marketing asset libraries.
• Support updates to established print marketing communication templates.
• Collaborate with team members on ‘best practices’ for design and operational efficiency.
• Support and collaborate with the Print Analyst to address any expedited ticket requests.
• Support efforts that reinvent and improve operational efficiency, scalability and mitigate risk.
• Participate in CCO and team projects and initiatives that enhance our future success.
• Build productive working relationships within the team as well as key business partners across the CCO organization.
Qualifications:
• Two years of experience in a service industry role with a focus on print communications.
• Strong combination of design and analytical skills to be used to execute print deliverable requests that meet internal and external client deadlines.
• Ability to work and adapt within an environment with changing priorities and short deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience developing and implementing new processes and ideas.
• Experience working in a role that requires cross-functional collaboration.
• Financial services or retirement industry background helpful.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Criteria:
• Detail oriented and the ability to prioritize issues for appropriate escalation.
• Problem solving skills that include the ability to identify root causes to issues and formulate solutions that mitigate risk.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a team environment.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud environment (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
• Proficiency with Macintosh OSX environment.
• Self-starter with strong sense of process, ownership and involvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing).
