The Senior Product Marketer, Banking and Lending will be responsible for understanding, rationalizing and promoting our best-in-class financial services solutions. With the ultimate goal of educating our sales teams and customers how Equifax technology is a true differentiator and proves Equifax is not only the clear leader in data and analytics but also in technology. We have multiple solutions to meet the specific needs of our vast customer base and the ideal candidate will understand the financial services industry that Equifax supports in order to drive awareness and adoption of our solutions.
The person will work with a variety of people across the organization, external firms, and customers to become the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria. As Equifax sees it, Product Marketing is at the intersection between product management, marketing communications, training and sales. The goal is to bring the customer perspective to the forefront and develop sales tools and messaging that resonates with the customers in such a way, that they clearly understand the value that our solutions can bring to their organization.
This right candidate must be able to work across the organization to secure demand and customer engagement by understanding the markets we serve and the needs of our customers; and deliver actionable insights about our capabilities, technology and platforms as a way to drive awareness and adoption.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Product Innovation & Management Team Member: Develop Product Marketing Plans and lead go-to-market execution (including system migrations) for the systems, platforms and deliver channels that are managed by the Product Innovation and Management team.
• Market intelligence: Proactively serves as a subject matter expert to Marketing Communications, Product Management, Training and Sales with regard to messaging, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategies. Be an expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be an expert on competition.
• Messaging: Develop messaging and positioning that differentiates our solutions/technologies in the market. Effectively communicate to marketing communications, product management, training and sales to ensure alignment in go-to-market and demand generation strategies.
• Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition and supporting messaging to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process. May participate in trades shows, industry events, and other direct customer engagement activities.
• Product/Solution launch: Initiates market research, analysis, and planning associated with the launch of new products. Works with Marketing Communications to develop marketing and promotional plans and marketing materials such as Data Sheets, Brochures, Customer Presentations, Competitive Analysis, and other assets.
Qualifications:
• 7-10+ years in a B2B Product Marketing role in a complex business environment desired;
• Must have an understanding of Product Marketing, Marketing Planning, Product Management, Marketing Communication, and the infrastructure and tools necessary to support these activities
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field required; M.B.A. preferred or equivalent business experience
• Excellent written and verbal skills with sensitivity to diversity of audiences including internal and external groups of varying sizes
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines
• Ability to adjust well to situations (e.g., different management styles, new methods, systems and procedures) and changing priorities within the business and the marketplace
• Strong project management skills required
• Initiates and takes responsibility for own development as well as peers and potentially subordinates
• Strategic and innovative thinking with ability to develop and understand financial and economic scenarios
• Experience in the financial services industries or working with financial services-related products and services preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
