Discover Bank is hiring! Our Personal Loans Department is looking for Inbound Sales Specialists. This position starts on October 29th, 2018. We are currently hiring for Day Shifts (6:00 am, 7:00 am, & 9:00 am start times.)
The starting pay is $16.75 an hour, and performance based incentive opportunities!

The Personal Loan Sales Specialist will be responsible for assessing and handling customers financial lending needs, obtaining and processing customer/account information and selling the features and benefits of the product. The Personal Loan Sales Specialist will also assist customers with completing the credit application and facilitating the various components of the application decision process (identity, verification, judgmental review), negotiating loan terms (loan amount, term, APR), gaining applicant acceptance of the offer, and building portfolio receivables by initiating loan activation. Through Inbound Calls, this fast paced call center position allows you to consult the individual needs of interested candidates, match them with the product that best fits their needs, create a solution by leveraging product benefits and obtain applicant acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handling incoming acquisition/origination calls.
• Selling the features/benefits of the product.
• Completing the credit application.
• Facilitating the various components of the application decision process (identity, verification, judgmental review).
• Negotiating loan terms (loan amount, term, APR).
• Gaining applicant acceptance of the offer.
• Building portfolio receivables by initiating loan activation.
• Consult to real needs of our customers and offer powerful solutions, with a goal of one call resolutions.
• Deliver great customer care through active listening and building rapport in our fast paced, structured environment.
• Produce extraordinary results measured by customer satisfaction, efficiency, call quality and meeting/exceeding specific metrics through established goals.
• Leverage your persuasive skills to gain applicant acceptance.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of Discover products and marketing/promotions.
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
Key Skills/ Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of sales experience is desired with a proven track record of success.
• Previous experience selling mortgages/loans (i.e. loan officer/originator) is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to ask probing questions during the application development process.
• Outstanding sales & customer engagement skills.
• Capable of building customer loyalty through active listening, relationship building, and professional and persuasive communication skills.
• Ability to influence, creative problem solve, and find customized solutions.
• Ability to be flexible and effortlessly adapt to regular changes.
• Able to navigate various computer applications, retrieving relevant information to respond to and service customer inquiries.
• Outstanding analytic skills.
• Superior verbal/written communication skills
This position is scheduled to start October 29th, 2018. We have Full-Time (40 hrs) Day Shifts (6:00 am, 7:00 am, & 9:00 am start times) available. This position includes weekends and holidays based on business needs. Please note this position includes a twelve (12) week paid training program, where your attendance is mandatory
