Investment Services includes the Investment Product Group of Capital Group. Its mission is to represent our investment process, thinking and competitive advantages in a compelling manner. The team works closely with sales leadership to identify and meet the needs of our sales force while leveraging media and technology to creatively deliver our investment process and philosophy.
As a Fixed Income Investment Product Manager, you will work as a subject matter expert of investment strategies and capital markets by demonstrating deep knowledge of our fixed income products, strategies, and solutions, as well as the competitive landscape and marketplace trends.
Responsibilities:
• As part of a team, assess product and capability gaps and monitors competitive positioning.
• Manage overall investment product strategy for specific fixed income offerings, including monitoring investment positioning, results and flows and providing broad product support.
• Contribute to product strategy and planning of new investment solutions, to include research, development, positioning and training.
• Define the strategic positioning of fixed income products, strategies, and solutions against competitors and investment trends in the marketplace.
• Understand CG’s approach to portfolio construction and demonstrate how fixed income offerings should be used in a portfolio context.
• Support and advocate for our fixed income products, strategies and solutions, as a subject matter expert (SME) to internal and external business partners as needed.
• Contribute to sales support via training and creation of data-driven and well-researched insights
• May operate as a first-level manager and/or mentor.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of investment product experience, Fixed Income product knowledge preferred.
• 10+ years investment related work experience.
• Deep knowledge of investments and capital markets, investment products, strategies and solutions, with an eye towards the competitive landscape and marketplace trends.
• Intellectual curiosity coupled with a proactive approach.
• Ability to develop both product and project plans with little direction and to execute in a collaborative manner with extreme attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop recommendations and support assertions with relevant quantitative and qualitative data.
• Ability to collaborate and develop/maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management and to facilitate large group meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CFA a plus.
• Combination of FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 65 / 66 or 63.
