Job Description:
Responsibilities are as follows:
Greet guests at the door and in the lobby.
Assist with luggage and perform other valet duties when needed.
Register guests into property management system.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve guest customer problems, following established guidelines.
Use proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
Conduct cash transactions, counting and providing change as necessary.
Handle safe deposit boxes according to Lodge policy.
Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. Obtain a house bank and keep it balanced at all times.
Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all late check-outs, early arrivals, and special requests.
Post transactions to guest accounts.
Sign keys out and back to hotel employees. Maintain security of key drawer.
Inspect Lobby and Front Desk for cleanliness and appearance. Keep work area clean and organized.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Lodge services, products, and procedures.
Provide information in response to guest inquiries about the hotel area, tourist attractions, directions, etc. Accommodate all possible requests, i.e. dinner reservations, taxi, etc.
Possess knowledge of Reservations Agent position. Relieve Reservations Agent for breaks.
Answer incoming telephone calls within first three rings.
Perform check-out process and post final charges.
Support, maintain, and participate in other duties as determined necessary by supervisor.
Make reservations according to Preferred Standards.
Deliver packages and amenities to guest rooms.
Read and document important guest incidents in Log Book.
Valet guest cars.
