Job Description
The Allstate Independent Agency Programs has a great new opportunity for a Senior Consultant. The selected individual is responsible for contributing to the design, development, planning, and implementation of sales programs and processes to support individual business function objectives. Also, the Senior Consultant provides consulting, project management and support within subject matter expertise for Agency Operations, Sales, and across the enterprise for field focused initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Program and Process Design/Improvement
• With some direction, evaluates targeted audience development needs and ensures alignment of education and development
• Supports and/or leads (with some direction) the development/design, review, approval and facilitation of development programs
• Works cross-functionally to deliver effective, efficient solutions to targeted audience
• Solicits input from key stakeholders
• Assists in creation of education manuals, online learning modules, and other educational materials
• Evaluates program effectiveness regularly and determines/recommends alternatives or improvements
• Reviews licensing training materials from a variety of vendors and select materials with appropriate content
• Develops communication materials to support new and existing programs focused on development of agency and LSPs
• Designs and develops education for agency owners, staff and regional leadership
• Supports the integration and delivery of programs/changes to regions/field
• Works as part of a team to deliver effective, efficient solutions to all levels of leadership.
Project Management
• Communicates and presents project information/updates to various levels of leadership including senior leadership/Officers within Sales and across other functional business units with direction as needed
• Plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes on projects that are up to moderate complexity and are small to moderately scaled using accepted project management standards
• Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables
• Assists in the formulation of strategies to achieve plan objectives with direction as needed
• Secures approvals and monitors program, policy, and procedure progress
• Actively builds strong relationships among teams/team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives
• Evaluates current results, identifies variances to planned performance, analyzes causes of variance and recommends action through tracking expense plan performance
• Tracks and reviews project related expenses
Job Qualifications
• Minimum of undergraduate college degree required
• 3-4 years’ experience
• Curriculum development experience desired
• Sales experience required
• Effective presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong skills in project management, team building, and problem solving
• Strong communications skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (ability to create presentations and create/manipulate spreadsheets)
• General understanding and knowledge of learning design, instructional methods and training techniques
• Intermediate knowledge of sales processes, policies, and procedures or other business/technical fields
• Insurance experience, business ownership or management backgrounds a plus
• Leverages understanding of current industry standards/environment to impact decisions and indicate requirements
• Proficient in design programs such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and/or Articulate Storyline or other design and development systems
