Company Description
Visa is seeking an experienced Creative Director to join, and lead our Creative Team in San Francisco. Our purpose is to differentiate the Visa brand and drive business results through compelling content. To help achieve this, we’re hiring a talented content maker & storyteller to oversee our team who is responsible for creating impactful creative assets to tell Visa’s innovation story, spanning merchant, issuer and client partner activations, product launches, sponsorship & event activations, and evergreen brand work. The right candidate will be passionate about digital and social marketing, always pushing themselves to be up on what is happening in the industry both in US and overseas. Further, they have a willingness and capability to help Visa to continue to be a thought leader in this space and contribute to our teams learning and development. We are looking for someone who can help shape and grow our in-house creative team, as well lead ideation for campaign development. Further the Creative Director should come to the table with solid design or copy writing skills in order to contribute towards campaign production & execution. Key to success will be the ability to distill compelling narratives in what can sometimes be a complex and nuanced industry, balancing the needs of an established brand with an appropriately fresh perspective.
Job Description
Primary Duties:
You will Lead in-house creative development for the US Marketing Organization.
• Manage internal social & digital creative team
• Manage “creative vision” for all owned US social & digital channels in partnership with cross- functional teams and agency partners
• Provide oversight & lead development of all creative assets for digital campaigns for multiple LOB, including but not limited to payment innovation, core products and tent pole activations (i.e. Olympics, NFL, FIFA etc.)
• Work with campaign leads and creative team to interpret briefs, identify insight gaps & build strategic frameworks for campaigns. Appetite to create assets for testing & optimizing, based on performance data, often mid campaign
• Partner with external agencies to represent the “voice of Visa” during creative ideation and execution
• Outstanding creative skills.
◦ Work with a close-knit creative partnership (copywriters & designers) to generate stunning and impactful social content for US Marketing programs across merchants, partners and issuers.
◦ Oversee the development of all social assets for social campaigns for multiple lines of
business
◦ Partner with US Marketing Teams & agency partners on development of social aspects
of integrated campaigns and ensure social components align with overall campaigns
• Deep understanding of social & digital channels and creative principals for all platforms
◦ Able to create nuanced assets for campaigns which span multiple channels
• Serve as creative expert on social & digital creative best practices and participate in the development of Visa’s creative approach across teams

Superb Creative:
• Strong conceptual thinker, able to see campaign ‘big picture’
• Able to develop compelling and impactful assets that tell a story and inspire action
• Ability to take direction and feedback, pick things up quickly and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proven knowledge and experience with Adobe tools including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Encore and Flash as well as experience in MS Office Suite
• Conceptualizes creative with product, marketing, and technology
• Willingness and proven ability to contribute to strategic discussions and strategy development
• Ability to present and convey ideas to a number of audiences including senior management, clients and cross functional teams
• Ability to prioritize and balance workload to meet aggressive deadlines.
◦ Able to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
Team Player:
• Able to inspire, guide and manage a team of creatives (designers & copy writers)
• Builds positive and collaborative relationships across the organization
• Able to partner with external agencies, clients, and internal partners to achieve deliverables
• Proactively confirms desired outcomes with stakeholder(s) before beginning projects
• Ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Education / Previous Experience:
• BFA/ BA
• 8+ years of experience as a creative lead in an agency or for a top-tier brand in-house
◦ Experience developing social & digital marketing content preferred
◦ Experience developing content for the financial, technology, and / or retail industries
preferred
• Portfolio of agency or brand creative work required to apply
