Overview
SMBC is seeking a Temporary employee to join our Client on Boarding group within Nikko Securities. The Document Specialist is mainly responsible for supporting both the Client Onboarding Team and Central Repository Team.
Responsibilities
This includes, but it is not limited to, the following key aspects:
1) Working closely with the Client On-boarding Team on Periodic Review of Customer Documentation/Information.
2) Working closely with the Central Repository Team to process invoices, documents, contracts and operational data.
3) Convert documents from various file types and formats to another as required.
4) Perform reconciliation tasks as needed.
5) Support the update of internal procedures applicable to the Client On-boarding Team and Central Repository Team.
Qualifications
Experience in document management preferably in a Broker / Dealer or Financial Institution environment.
Familiarity with following type of documents:
Client On-boarding Documentation (Legal Entity Formation Document, Tax Forms, Beneficial Ownership Certification)
Invoices, Purchase Orders, Service Orders, Vendor Contracts
Work Experience: From 2 to 3 years of specialized experience in Financial Institution or Large Corporation.
Education:
BA / BS (or equivalent)
Software Systems / Programming Languages:
Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel Formulas, Power Point). Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus
Knowledge of Back Office systems (e.g. Broadridge - Impact), Client Life-cycle Management Systems (e.g. Fenergo) and Document Management Systems is a plus.
Exceptional organizational skills, accuracy and meticulous attention to details.
Strong communication skills – oral and written.
Team player with a positive attitude is a must.
