Overview
In this role, the Risk Management Intern will have the opportunity to gain resume-building work experience through exposure to real-world problems and issues not normally found in classroom settings pertaining to Risk Management at a financial institution. This is a paid, part time, entry-level position open to qualified college level students only. Hours will be 16-24 hours per week.

Responsibilities
• Assist the Risk Management team by performing research and analysis, working extensively in Microsoft Excel.
• Perform data analysis and document your work under the supervision of other team members.
• Work on ad-hoc projects for the Risk Management department.
• Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Assist the Risk Management team by performing research and analysis, working extensively in Microsoft Excel.

• Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work 20-30 hours per week.
• Must be able to make at least a 3-6 month commitment between September 2018 and January 2019.
• Must demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, Excel required and Access preferred (other coding skills such as SQL is a plus).
• Have outstanding verbal and written communication to correspond at all levels of the organization.
• Be very detail oriented, well organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize assignments with limited supervision.
• Must be able to illustrate great initiative as a highly motivated team player with a positive and outgoing attitude.
