Description
The WSG Cost Optimization & Performance Measurement team is responsible for planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and business measurement for the Workplace Solution Group segment, which includes the Group Insurance and Retirement business units. The Expense P&A Specialist position will support both Group Insurance and Retirement as part of the newly formed WSG organization. This matrixed position will provide Actuals and Forecast production support for both businesses, while also setting the framework for efficiencies. This position is located in Hartford, CT or Roseland, NJ
Responsibilities include:Support of the actuals close process and forecast across both Retirement and Group Insurance (i.e. Expense Engine and longsheet processes).
• Partnership with Group and Retirement Managers in support of annual allocations process.
• Serve as central point of contact for all Corporate Overhead and USB charges. Understand and interpret chargebacks and share information as well as explanations to Group and Retirement consolidation teams, ensuring a consistent understanding across the two lines of business.
• Manage the DAR and IPCC process for annual expense planning across Retirement and Group Insurance
• Support internal and external audit requests as needed
• Proactively assess the combined WSG COE for opportunities to streamline processes, automate and evaluate outsourcing options.
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies within the Expense team, develop recommendations
• Assist manager in identification and tracking of key metrics to be utilized across the businesses for purposes of cost optimization and performance measurement
• Assist manager in the development of a Tableau reporting strategy to be deployed and utilized across Group, Retirement and WSG
• Participate in strategic projects as requested
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Proficient use of MS Office suite. Working knowledge of Essbase, Oracle, Clarity or similar systems is a plus.
