Responsibilities
• Manages human resources programs, policies and procedures. This may include management of and participation in compliance, employee relations, recruitment and staffing, benefits, training, performance management, compensation, safety and security, workforce planning, organization development and leave management.
• Understands, supports, and participates in developing corporate business strategy and the goals of each department designed to meet that strategy. Proactively consults with leadership to identify, develop and execute human resources strategies that support business needs.
• Participates in developing team objectives and in meeting performance targets.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of employment law, various human resources functions, and trends. Monitors for legal compliance in the various human resources functions
• Manages the maintenance of record keeping systems and files in order to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory agencies.
• Ensures that effective business relationships with internal external customers / coworkers are developed and maintained. Serves as a liaison between the business and other human resources functions.
• Ensures the provision of excellent customer service.
• Develops and monitors management reports on service levels, activity and customer experience.
• Develops methods to improve customer service and satisfaction.
• Requests or generates and analyzes management reports to track and assess business metrics. Reviews findings with more senior management.
• Develops and oversees internal controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of work. Makes recommendations to improve processes and procedures.
• Has responsibility for performance, development and coaching of staff (hiring, firing, performance management, pay increases, etc.). Provides training for new members to the team / unit.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred.
Field of Study: Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
Experience: 5 or more years of related experience, including previous supervisory experience. Professional designation preferred; appropriate designations could include Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
