TCF Inventory Finance is currently looking for a Rates & Terms Specialist to join their team in Schaumburg, IL
Position Summary
The Rates and Terms Specialist performs a variety of duties relative to the timely and accurate entry, maintenance and validation of customer financing plans within the loan software system. The Candidate must be able to become proficient in the use of the integrated online loan system including entry, matching, inquire screens, and additional functions provided by system upgrades.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Independently perform all necessary actions on a daily basis to complete and process all types of plan/program set up’s and maintenance of loan data in a timely and accurate manner. Validate that the properly executed documentation has been received and all compliance needs have been met.
• Review and validation of plan/program set up’s completed by Rates and Terms Specialists for accuracy and precision.
• Monitor the plan/program setup and maintenance work load to ensure that service level agreements are met.
• Effectively pose any and all plan/program set up or maintenance issues to appropriate parties for resolution. Aggressively follow up on outstanding plan/program or customer set up or maintenance issues to ensure that they are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
• College Degree from an accredited college or university preferably business oriented
• 0 to 2 years’ experience in Financial Applications
• Experience in a clerical or accounting environment
• Basic Understanding of loans
• The ideal candidate will have basic Microsoft Office skills, Intermediate level Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks at once with accuracy
• Understanding of interest calculations and payment due dates
