Overview
Corporate Controller
Our Client, a leading distributor of American-made electrical and industrial products, is seeking a Sales Manager to join their fast growing organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the sales department and producing and increasing revenue for the company.
Essential Duties
Job Responsibilities
• Determine and implement sales strategy
• Develop a comprehensive sales plan for the assigned region focusing on achievement of region sales objectives
• Manage, coach and mentor a team of inside and outside sales agents while working with your colleagues to drive profitability for the brand
• Provide training to sales group and end users on the value of your products
• Provide sales and technical coaching to ensure that sales agents have requisite skills to achieve sales goals
• Manage the region’s budget and assist in determining ideal sales territory size to achieve maximum profitability and sales
• Coordinate the use of internal resources to develop key business opportunities
• Manage the region’s sales agents including the on-boarding of new agents to insure immediate success
Experience
• 8+ years of experience within the manufacturing industry or distribution industry and prior experience as a Regional/District Sales Manager
Qualifications
Skills
• Demonstrated strong leadership, relationship-building, and relationship management skills
• Outstanding oral, written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required, specifically: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• High level of comfort in communicating with every level of an organization from top level executives to field personnel
• Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
• Financially competent with respect to managing the sale’s budget and analysis of teams performance
